Terms of Service

By accessing or using Ratonix AI (“Ratonix,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), including our website at ratonix.ai, our browser extension, and any related products or services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all policies incorporated by reference, including our Privacy Policy, AI Disclosure, and Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Users outside the United States acknowledge that use of the Service is governed by Texas law, subject to mandatory protections in their country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.

• Analyzes messages you compose and provides AI-generated rewriting suggestions
• Learns from your interactions with those suggestions to personalize future recommendations
• Tracks communication outcomes you report to improve recommendation quality over time
• Operates as a browser extension that integrates with third-party websites and applications

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. By using the Service you represent you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. You may not use the Service if you are in a jurisdiction subject to a U.S. government embargo or on any U.S. prohibited parties list.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@ratonix.ai of any unauthorized access. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.

Ratonix suggestions are generated automatically without human review. You acknowledge that:

• AI suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or culturally insensitive
• Suggestions are assistive tools, not professional advice
• You must review every suggestion before using it
• Nothing in the Service constitutes legal, medical, psychological, or financial advice
• You are solely responsible for every message you send, regardless of whether Ratonix assisted in drafting it

Exercise particular caution in legal proceedings, medical communications, employment actions, and financial decisions.

By using the Service, you explicitly acknowledge and consent to the following:

• The text of messages you enter will be transmitted to our servers and to third-party AI providers for processing
• Your behavioral interactions with suggestions (used, edited, rewrote, or ignored) will be recorded
• Outcomes you report will be recorded and used to train our AI models
• Anonymized interaction data may be retained for AI training even after you delete your account
• The browser extension accesses text in form fields on third-party websites while active

Do not enter messages containing sensitive personal data of third parties, privileged communications, or classified information.

Your use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, incorporated herein by reference. You may not use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm any person, violate any law, or circumvent our security measures.

The Service, including its AI models, training datasets, algorithms, and design, is owned by Ratonix AI. You retain ownership of your messages. By using the Service, you grant Ratonix a worldwide, royalty-free license to process and use your content to provide and improve the Service. Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Failure to pay may result in account suspension.

You may terminate your account at any time via account settings or by contacting support@ratonix.ai. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms, harmful conduct, non-payment, or at our sole discretion. Sections 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 15 survive termination.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI SUGGESTIONS WILL BE ACCURATE OR EFFECTIVE. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties; in those jurisdictions our warranties are limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RATONIX AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS OR $100. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF LEGAL THEORY.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ratonix AI from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of third-party rights, or communications you send using Ratonix suggestions.

Informal Resolution: Contact legal@ratonix.ai first. We will attempt resolution within 30 days.

Binding Arbitration (U.S. Users): Unresolved disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules in Austin, Texas or via videoconference.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AND RATONIX AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS ACTION.

EU Users: You may submit disputes to the EU ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

International Users: Nothing in these Terms waives rights you have under mandatory local law.

We will provide at least 30 days’ notice of material changes by email or prominent notice in the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
